Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) Act 2025
2025 Chapter 32An Act to make provision changing the law about the offence of livestock worrying, including changes to what constitutes an offence and increased powers for investigation of suspected offences; and for connected purposes.

Be it enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
I71 Livestock worrying: scope and consequences of offence¶
The Schedule contains amendments to the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953 that—I12 Seizure and detention of dogs¶
I33 Collection of samples and impressions¶
After section 2 of the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953 insert—I44 Powers of entry¶
For section 2A of the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953 substitute—I25 Extent, commencement, transitional provision and short title¶
