Savings (Government Contributions) Act 2017
2017 c. 2An Act to make provision for, and in connection with, government bonuses in respect of additions to savings accounts and other investment plans.

Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

- “Help-to-Save account” has the meaning given by paragraph 3 of Schedule 2,

- “Lifetime ISA” has the meaning given by section 1(2), and
- “Treasury regulations” means regulations made by the Treasury.

- “the Administrator” means the person who for the time being is the Administrator under the Scheme Rules (as from time to time amended or supplemented) of the Help to Buy: ISA Scheme, and
- “the Help to Buy: ISA Scheme” means the scheme of that name—
- announced by the Treasury in March 2015,
- launched on 1 December 2015,
- for which Scheme Rules were published on that date by the Treasury, and
- which is governed by those Scheme Rules (as from time to time amended or supplemented),
