Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act 2006
2006 c. 51An Act to enable provision to be made for the purpose of removing or reducing burdens resulting from legislation and promoting regulatory principles; to make provision about the exercise of regulatory functions; to make provision about the interpretation of legislation relating to the European Communities and the European Economic Area; to make provision relating to section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972; and for connected purposes.

Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

An order under this Part may not, except by virtue of section 1(8) or 2(7), make provision to amend or repeal any Northern Ireland legislation.11 Wales¶

- “the Assembly” means the National Assembly for Wales;
- “Minister of the Crown” has the same meaning as in the Ministers of the Crown Act 1975 (c. 26).
33 Commencement¶
This Act comes into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which it is passed.34 Extent¶
