The production in any civil or criminal proceedings of a document purporting to be certified by the chairman of a Reinstatement Committee, or by the umpire or a deputy umpire, to be a true record of a determination or order of the committee, or of the umpire or deputy umpire on appeal, as the case may be, shall, unless the contrary is proved, be sufficient evidence of the determination or order.16 Proof of identity.¶

The court by which an employer is convicted under section 17 may also order him to pay to the person whose employment has been terminated, as compensation for any loss suffered or likely to be suffered by reason of the termination, a sum not exceeding an amount equal to five weeks’ remuneration at the rate at which his remuneration was last payable to him by the employer.Supplemental¶

- “undertaking” includes any business, whether carried on by way of trade or not, and the activities of any body of persons, whether corporate or unincorporated;
- “whole-time service” means whole-time service in the armed forces of the Crown in the circumstances mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (b) of section 1(1).

Her Majesty may by Order in Council direct that this Act shall extend to the Isle of Man, subject to such adaptations and modifications as may be specified in the Order.23 Citation, extent and commencement.¶
